We are a Subbuteo club located in the centre of Huntingdon at the Montagu Working Mens Club. We currently meet every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. Meetings are held at the Montague Club near the town center and commence at 7:30pm – 8:00pm till finish. It is an enjoyable game to play and can be played by any age from 6 – 100. We offer top advice on getting into the game and where to buy everything you need to play. We also teach the rules to beginners or refresh the rules to veterans and people who have played Subbuteo before.
There is no need to buy a team on your first few meets as our friendly club members will help you out with a team to practice with. We have 8 tables to play on which are very good quality. The rules are FISTF which can be found on the FISTF. These rules are similar to the 70’s-90’s verison with some changes.
The Montague club is a working mens club so if you do join us to play you will need to pay a membership fee of £8 for a year. The club has a full bar plus amble car parking round the back and a local supermarket just in case.
On your first visit to the club you will be deemed as a guest and will pay no fee. After that we charge £1 for under 18’s and £2 for 18’s and over.
So for a really exciting evening why not come along to our club. Once you play you won’t stay away.
The club has full bar facilities as well as a pool table for those who bring the kids or wife, ample car parking round the back and if your really lucky at the front, three chip shops within a minute walk plus a Sainsburys just behind near the parking. The hall is very big and can easily hold 200 people so there is no worry for space. We have held various tournament at this venue as well as the ESTFA Nationals 2008 which was fetured in the Hunt’s Post and the St Ives local newspaper.
